Mark Wahlberg’s early morning workouts are paying off.

The actor, known for his roles in Boogie Nights, Ted and The Departed, went viral in 2018 after he shared his daily schedule on social media, which involved waking up at 2:30 A.M. to hit the gym. Wahlberg has since re-instituted some parts of that extreme routine, including those pre-dawn training sessions, and has been sharing clips from what he has dubbed his “4 A.M. club” on Instagram.

“The big secret, gentlemen, is go to sleep earlier,” Wahlberg recently told Men’s Health. “Set the alarm, and don’t hit the snooze button. By the time you work out, eat, go on about the rest of your day. I would say, come 15 to 16 hours into your day, you’re going to be pretty darn tired. So if you get to bed early at night, you’ll still be right on schedule. You’ll be able to get eight hours and still be able to get up early enough to be in the 4 a.m. club.”

In a video shared to Instagram over the weekend, Wahlberg showed off the results of all that hard work, shedding his trademark white T-shirt and flaunting his jacked arms and pumped chest while showing off his Flecha Azul tequila brand.

Wahlberg is rightly proud of his physique, and he’s keen for people to know that he came by it honestly. The actor has addressed the growing popularity of the drug Ozempic as a weight loss tool, coming down firmly against it in favor of getting your nutrition and fitness right.

“To each his own, but I do encourage people to eat right and exercise,” he said. “It’s much more [of] a lifestyle change. You’d be surprised what you can accomplish when you’re willing to do the work… I’ve seen lots of people accomplish amazing things, ordinary people doing extraordinary things on a fitness base, and they’re now encouraging other people that look like them. That’s what I’m into.”
